Is the treatment painful?

No, the treatment should not be painful. You can expect to feel a warm sensation from the device and. ringing sound through the course of the treatment, but there is no pain involved. No needles. No discomfort. No trauma to the scalp.

Dr. Cole is working with a trusted pharmacy to develop new formulations for hair growth. These include injectable forms of sterile Dutasteride and finasteride. The goal is to deliver these injections using Alma TED, which has the potential to enhance the quality of existing hair. It is recommended to repeat these injectable treatments every three months.

Additionally, Alma TED can facilitate the delivery of local anesthesia during hair transplant surgery. Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and Cytokine-rich plasma (CRP) injections can be uncomfortable, so local anesthesia is commonly used to alleviate discomfort. The efficacy of delivering PRP through Alma TED needs verification, as platelets are relatively large and require collagen fibre separation using ultrasound and air pressure.
